Once Upon A Time……
When John & Cherrie purchased N° 7 St. John Street in 1986, their aim was to offer excellent customer service and sell high quality products at a good price. With hard work and determination, they succeeded in their mission and created two wonderful shops, (N° 7 Wholefoods & N° 16 Natural Remedies) opposite one an other, on St. John Street, Perth.
Their son, Darren, started working alongside his parents in 1998 which many years later allowed John & Cherrie to retire, leaving the business and it’s bright future in Darren’s hand.
Our Mission.
Our mission is to maintain & grow the business in an ethical and sustainable manner, to reduce our carbon emissions where possible and to ensure that our suppliers have similar views to our own.
We aim to support the local community when possible and to be a fair employer at all times.
The Team
Darren is the owner of the business and has over 25 years of experience within the Natural Health & Wellbeing industry. Darren is a member of the Health Food Institute (HFI), the National Association of Health Stores (NAHS) and also the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Victoria co-manages the company alongside Darren and has a background in Finance and Administration.
Cheryl is the store supervisor and manages both shops in Darren & Victoria’s absence. Cheryl has obtained her HFI Professional Diploma Part 1 and is currently studying to pass her HFI Professional Diploma Part 2 .
Elaine has years of experience with the company and her knowledge within the wholefoods sector is impressive. She is great when it comes to knowing how do use different ingredients available in-store and is always happy to help customers and share her knowledge.
Margaret supports us on Saturdays and also during the school holidays. Margaret has supported the business for many years and is a fountain of knowledge.
